Adult Protective Services

Investigations of abuse, neglect, self-neglect and exploitation of adults who are unable to understand
they are in imminent risk of death or serious bodily injury.

Endangered Adults
 

An adult eighteen (18) years of age or older who is found to be in a situation or
condition which poses an imminent risk of death or serious bodily harm to that person. Who
demonstrates the lack of capacity to comprehend the nature and consequences of remaining in that
situation or condition. A resident eighteen (18) years of age or older of a licensed long-term care facility
who is found to be in a situation or condition which poses an imminent risk of death or serious bodily
harm to that person. Who demonstrates the lack of capacity to comprehend the nature and
consequences of remaining in that situation or condition.

Impaired Adults 

A person eighteen (18) years or older who as a result of mental or physical impairment
is unable to protect himself or herself from abuse, sexual abuse, neglect or exploitation and as a
consequence is endangered.

American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery

FACE to FACE PROGRAM: A humanitarian and educational surgical exchange program conducted
under the sponsorship of the Educational and Research Foundation for AAFPRS. In the United States
and abroad, AAFPRS surgeons provide complimentary care to those who suffer from facial deformities
caused by birth or trauma. The program offers individuals the opportunity to overcome the physical
limitations placed on them by circumstances beyond their control. AAFPRS surgeons use their expertise
to perform plastic and reconstructive surgery of the face, head and neck. Referral service to physicians
in Arkansas who provide volunteer plastic surgery for victims of domestic violence.

Arkansas Long Term Care Ombudsman Program

Our mission is to assure that long-term care facility residents have the right to live their lives

Domestic Violence Support Group

Our highly trained expert advocates are available 24/7 to talk confidentially with anyone in the
United States who is experiencing domestic violence, seeking resources or information, or questioning
unhealthy aspects of their relationship. The Hotline provides lifesaving tools and immediate support to
empower victims and survivors to find safety and live free of abuse. Resources and help can be found

Human Trafficking Task Force

Human Trafficking is a form of modern slavery that occurs in every state. The NHTH works closely
with service providers, law enforcement, and other professionals in Arkansas to serve victims and
survivors of trafficking, respond to human trafficking cases, and share information and resources. Our
Task Force seeks to educate and equip individuals and communities to strengthen local efforts in the

We are a faith-based Christian growth program for men 18 years and older. We are non-medical and
non-clinical. We are a completely voluntary program with a 15 month program. A minimum of 5 months

Arkansas Apprenticeship Pathways Initiative (AAPI)

AAPI seeks to develop and promote Registered Apprenticeship Program around the state. The HVAC
Technician is a program that is being offered at National Park College located in Hot Springs. This is a 3
year program that includes 160 classroom hours and 2,000 on-the-job-training hours. Classes meet
from 6pm-9pm, 2 nights per week, for a 12 week semester. The cost of the program is $450 per year
(billed at $225 per semester). Students may enter the program as a pre-apprentice and earn classroom
hours while seeking employment as a HVAC apprentice. To be eligible, individuals must be 18 years or
