Adult Protective Services (Adult Abuse Hotline (800) 482-8049)
Investigations of abuse, neglect, self-neglect and exploitation of adults who are unable to understand they are in imminent risk of death or serious bodily injury.
Endangered Adults: An adult eighteen (18) years of age or older who is found to be in a situation or condition which poses an imminent risk of death or serious bodily harm to that person. Who demonstrates the lack of capacity to comprehend the nature and consequences of remaining in that situation or condition. A resident eighteen (18) years of age or older of a licensed long-term care facility who is found to be in a situation or condition which poses an imminent risk of death or serious bodily harm to that person. Who demonstrates the lack of capacity to comprehend the nature and consequences of remaining in that situation or condition.
Impaired Adults: A person eighteen (18) years or older who as a result of mental or physical impairment is unable to protect himself or herself from abuse, sexual abuse, neglect or exploitation and as a consequence is endangered.

American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstruction Surgery
FACE to FACE PROGRAM: A humanitarian and educational surgical exchange program conducted under the sponsorship of the Educational and Research Foundation for AAFPRS. In the United States and abroad, AAFPRS surgeons provide complimentary care to those who suffer from facial deformities caused by birth or trauma. The program offers individuals the opportunity to overcome the physical limitations placed on them by circumstances beyond their control: deformities at birth, domestic violence and war. AAFPRS surgeons use their expertise to perform plastic and reconstructive surgery of the face, head and neck. Referral service to physicians in Arkansas who provide volunteer plastic surgery for victims of domestic violence.

Clark County Health Department offers numerous programs to help families’ in their needs. Birth certificates and death certificates are available upon request. WIC, Family Planning, Immunizations and Maternity. WIC program is available to low to moderate income pregnant women, recently delivered women, breast feeding women, infants and children up to age 5. Arkansas Apprenticeship Pathways Initiative (AAPI)
Winrock International and Arkansas Department of Workforce Services is associate with the AAPI program. AAPI seeks to develop and promote Registered Apprenticeship Program around the state. The HVAC Technician is a program that is being offered at National Park College located in Hot Springs. This is a 3 year program that includes 160 classroom hours and 2,000 on-the-job-training hours. Classes meet from 6pm-9pm, 2 nights per week, for a 12 week semester. The cost of the program is $450 per year (billed at $225 per semester). Students may enter the program as a pre-apprentice and earn classroom hours while seeking employment as a HVAC apprentice. To be eligible, individuals must be 18 years or older, have a high school diploma/GED and state ID. Healthy Connections
Healthy Families Arkansas (HFA) program serves pregnant and parenting moms 25 years of age and under. Services will be provided until the child reaches three years of age and all services are free. Through regular home visits and monthly group meetings HFA staff, strives to empower families to provide a healthy, nurturing environment for their children. HFA is an initiative also help parents get their children off to a healthy start. Participation in HFA services is strictly voluntary.
